About Fanvita
Hello! My name is Dorota Jasińska. I might be Your new expert on environmental protection. I am one of the few people to answer your questions online. I share the documents which are essential to meet your needs.
I deal with all businesses. I advise the public sector on environmental protection and waste management.
Apart from my professional activity, I am linked to environmental protection academically. I am currently studying Environmental Resource Management at Kraków University of Technology, which in the future will let me broaden my knowledge on the internal auditing of environmental management systems. What is more, I am a graduate of the Maritime Academy of Gdynia, Faculty of Entrepreneurship. Who has to register in BDO?
You have to enter the BDO Register if you are an entrepreneur who:
- produces waste and keeps waste records,
- Markets products in packages, such as:
- gear oils, batteries, storage batteries, vehicles, electric and electronic equipment, - Imports or produces packages and/or goods in packages,
- Purchases goods in packages, as part of transactions, from companies in the EU,
- Manages shops and wholesalers which provide their customers with plastic bags (i.e. bags that are subject to a recycling fee)*,
Who does not have to register in BDO?
Entry to the BDO Register is not mandatory if:
- you produce municipal waste,
- You produce waste in the form of vehicles which are no longer in operation**,
- You produce waste and are classified as a farmer working in an agricultural area of more than 75 ha***,
** provided that the vehicles were passed to a company which runs a disassembly station or a vehicle collection point.
*** provided that you are not subject to ex officio registration in relation to a ruling on the production of waste.

Do you conduct a business in any of industries listed above?
Avoid a financial penalty for doing business without the required entry in the register. Without the entry, you risk an administrative penalty of
PLN 5,000–1,000,000
and also…
- an administrative penalty of PLN 5,000 up to 1 million, if you do not put the registration number on documents prepared in relation to the business covered by the BDO Register
- you are subject to imprisonment or a fine if you do not have an application for entry in the register, a change of registration, removal from the register or submission of a factually incorrect application
- you may be imposed with an administrative penalty of PLN 2,000–10,000, if you transport waste without an entry in the BDO Register
- you are subject to a penalty of arrest or fine if you manage waste not compliant with the waste you have reported to the register.
